  • Spam on Xanga makes me sad...

I guess I'll be doing friends lock because, seriously, one of the things I always liked about Xanga was it tended to be spam free, now I've got a crap ton of comments (pretending to be high-brow) with spammy links in them.

Now, I'm annoyed, and kind of wishing I hadn't come back.

  • Poor neglected blog

Well, gosh, I'm just so far behind in getting this post out of my head and on to the screen. I am starting to wonder if I even know how this thing works anymore. I think I will just dive straight in.

Home is awesome. MadScientist moved in with me in February and we've been together for over 2 years now. It's good. The furballs are still kicking, they are old little Shelties, one is 17 and aside from a little arthritis he's doing pretty good. We have a fabulous apartment (downtown and mountain view) but probably pay more than we should - as in, we could get into a house for quite a bit less than we pay in rent. And, we probably will get into a house in 2012.

Work is good. It probably won't sound good once you learn about Numbnuts (I was going to compare Numbnuts to Chang from Community, but I'd rather marry Chang than spend another day with Numbnuts). But, that's a protected post for another time (another time being likely about 15-20 minutes after this one).  Things have changed a lot since I left the and came back, but for the better, I think. Unfortunately, I think there are quite a few people who are going to be unable to change with the times. Sucks to be them.

The Kung Fu school I attended in Austin has an affiliate here, different master runs it, but it's all under the same Grand Master, so I'm hoping it still has that Geek Fu vibe as Austin did. We (MadScientist and I) will be starting classes either next month or in January. Just depends on how everything plays out with the holidays. Sadly, I will be starting completely over, it's just been way too long, I still hope it comes back quickly, but I couldn't even get through the no belt material right now. We've started practicing kicks and the like though, with the hopes that when we start classes it won't kick our asses too badly.

Headed to the old hometown for Thanksgiving, nice road trip, get to see friends and family. Should be fun.

  • It's official

I'm a Coloradan. At least by my driver's license.

I feel a long post coming, but it's still in my head, so must go visit you guys for now.

  • Xanga Renaissance?

I heard there was a renaissance of sorts going on here...and since I deleted my FB (OMG! The drama on there, it's bloody junior high.) and have been a little MIA from the online life, a little birdy said, "get your ass back on Xanga." (But in a much nicer way)

So, back. But before I talk about me, I need to go see what is up with you. Be back soon.
