Day Five? I think it is five, anyway.
So, I am in love with Montana. Can you marry a state? (Oh, I still love Texas, heck, I am Texas...but in this market, one must diversify).
I'm in Butte, Montana tonight. I silently as a ninja left Flib's while she was sleeping this morning. I am a morning person, and I just thought 6:15 was too early to wake her (considering we crashed around 1:30). She is an awesome hostess.
Had lunch with AtomBlonde and her lovely husband today. You know how you meet some people virtually, and then in person, they aren't the same? Well, AB is better in the flesh. She is funny and smart, she also has gorgeous hair. She brought me a "sweep the leg" t-shirt. I am taking it as a sign that I must get back into martial arts asap. Also, she gave me a gorgeous hemp and shell necklace that the Izak (the son) made. I am currently the hippest chick on the road in a Subaru, with two dogs, in relocation mode, because of said necklace. When I decide to stop being lazy I will post a picture.
How lazy am I being? The remote control in the room is broken, I am so lazy that I won't even get up to change the channel from the bad Batman, you know, the one with my former governor (he's still the governor, I just don't live there anymore...I get PrettyBoyPerry back now, sigh, at least he has fab hair and a cool wife), oh, Clooney was actually quite good as Batman, it's just the villains, which I didn't think could get much worse after Carey as the Riddler (I like Carey, just not in that movie). Oh, I suppose Bane and Poison Ivy were okay enough, and John Glover rocked as always, but Mr. Freeze had such awful lines and the cinematography is so cheesy.
So, that's pretty lazy, right?
Oh, I learned today that the so-called energy drinks are bad. I thought my heart was going explode out of my chest. It didn't, just in case you were wondering.
Tomorrow, Salt Lake City, I may stop there or may push on to Boulder, I am undecided right now.
Oh, and despite my recent downsizing, I am still collecting the free state maps they give out at the visitor centers. I now have Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. I geek out for maps new or old.
My train of thought has derailed. I think I'll call it a day.
Addendum: Since I threw away my alarm clock I actually wake up earlier, yet sleep better. Strange, no?

You are too kind, my dear!
It was such a blast to finally get to meet you!
Talk about smart, woman, YOU blew me away.
Totally. Blew Jon away too, he really enjoyed meeting you too! I wish we'd had more time, but this just gives us an excuse to meet again! Perhaps you'll have to make it to the next West Coast Xanga Posse Meet-Up.
Montana is an amazing place, someday if you ever have a chance, Glacier National Park is outstanding and worth a visit or two.
Did you see any antelope?
Drive safe!
Sounds like you and the puppies are having a fantastic time. Continue to be careful and ENJOY!!!
Oh Montana, Montana!! I passed out right outside of Billings.
But I LOVE Montana. I am so glad you're having such a wonderful time. Keep being lazy, hug the pups, enjoy your maps, eat it up! Wish I was there too (although I am a terrible traveler of late.) Eagerly awaiting more installments and your return home (your return HERE, I mean.) And be careful out there. Please.
HATED Clooney as batman... so much that I almost walked out of the theatre. I can't stand the way he bobs his head, like he has Parkinsons.
I did my dream trip once - from northern NY through the plains to Colorado, then through Arizona, to live in Mexico for 6 months. I'm so glad I took the chance, and did it. It's good to read about your adventures!
